JULY 14, 2009 -- 2010 370Z Roadster pricing announced. The 2010 Z Roadster goes on sale in September with 26 more horsepower and 2 additional lb-ft of torque with the 3.7-liter V6. JUNE 29, 2009 -- Nissan Gets $1.6 Billion Loan From US. Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) has been conditionally approved by the U.S. Department of Energy for a $1.6 billion loan to modify its Smyrna, TN, manufacturing plant to produce zero-emissions vehicles and state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery packs to power them.

JUNE 5 2009 -- Infiniti G37 Convertible pricing. Infiniti released pricing of the new G convertible scheduled to go on sale June 19 with an MSRP of $43,850 (7-speed auto) while the Sport model (6-speed manual) is priced at $43,900. JUNE 3, 2009 -- UPDATED: Penske to buy Saturn, will Renault (and Nissan) be involved? It's been reported that Penske is looking at Renault, which is part-owned by Nissan, to bring in cars made in South Korea from Renault Samsung Motors to be part of the Saturn lineup. The sale is not final, but is expected to close in 60 days for $100-200 million.
MAY 12, 2009 -- 2009 Infiniti G37, Nissan 350Z named "most satisfying." Autopacific just finished a survey of 25,000 car owners and found that the most satisfying car or truck to own was the Infiniti G37. An incredible 95% of new owners would recommend the car. APRIL 16, 2009 -- GT-R runs a 7:27.56 at the 'Ring! Nissan set another lap record at the Nurburgring Nordschleife in Germany. "A Japanese specification GT-R, running on Dunlop tyres with RAYS forged alloy wheels (V-spec equipment) recorded a blistering 7min 27.56 secs yesterday." Although dry, the track surface grip was impaired by dust and sand. They may attempt another record tomorrow.

APRIL 1, 2009 -- April Fools cover of Nissan Sport catches some readers by surprise. Nissan Sport editors spent April 1 laughing, but some unsuspecting subscribers were threatening to cancel their subscriptions (one even said he would sell his cars) if we ran a stock Nissan Quest on the cover. MAR 24, 2009 -- Infiniti M Hybrid coming in 2010. Reports out of Japan are saying that the next gen Infiniti M will offer a hybrid version in 2010. This will be the first hybrid Nissan or Infiniti built with Nissan technology using its advanced lithium ion battery. The Altima Hybrid currently borrows from Toyota.
MAR 23, 2009 -- Phony Nissan Ad Stirs Debate.There's nothing quite like a car ad that shows murder. But Nissan had nothing to do with it. It's just a comedy skit between jokesters Andy Richter and James Adomian. Click here to watch.
MAR 12, 2009 -- Plenum-Spacer Shootout! One of Sport Z Magazine's most popular tech articles is now available for download. Using a pair of Nissan 350Zs and G35s, SZM dyno tested and reviewed three popular plenums and three spacers. The article originally appeared in the Winter 2006 issue and was written by Nissan Sport publisher (and tech guru) Dave Ochenreider.
MAR 10, 2009 -- Nissan to build EVs, Tucson new home to network. Nissan announced today that they will be building an EV vehicle in the US (not based on the Cube, they say), although the early EVs will be imported from Japan. Nissan also is already working on building the EV infrastructure with an agreement in place in Tucson to set up a network of charging stations.
MAR 3, 2009 -- Infiniti Essence unveiled in Geneva! The Infiniti Essence concept car was just unveiled at the Geneva auto show. It doesn't just look hot. Powered by a hybrid powertrain, the sports car certainly will put out prodigious power from its 3.7-liter twin turbocharged engine. Will it stay a concept? Look for more answers in Issue 11 of Nissan Sport.

FEB 28, 2009 -- Best Upscale Sedan: Infiniti G37. According to Consumer Reports, the 2009 G37 sedan is, "One of the highest-rated sedans we've tested, the G37 (formerly G35) combines sportiness and luxury in a very appealing package. It has a very lively powertrain, agile handling, a comfortable ride, and a nicely appointed interior. For 2009, it also has a larger, 328-hp, 3.7-liter engine and a seven-speed automatic transmission, which improves fuel economy."

FEB 13, 2009 -- Nissan Titan going extinct? The agreement between Nissan and Chrysler for the 2011 Titan based on the Dodge Ram has been put on hold (the Dodge "Versa" is still on). As first reported by Nissan Sport, if the deal dies, so does the Titan. Click here for a story from CNN.

JAN 18, 2009 -- Nissan recalls 243,000 SUVs and trucks. Heavily salted roads could, over time, corrode crash sensors for front air bags in 2005-2009 Nissan Pathfinders, Xterras, and Frontiers. The vehicles are being recalled in 20 states (including DC); vehicles in other states are having their warranty extended to 10 years.
JAN 14, 2009 -- Pricing announced for the 370Z. The 2009 Z car starts at $29,930 and goes up to $35,760 for the Touring 7-speed automatic . Two option packages are available: Nav at $1,850 and Sport at $3,000, which includes 19-inch Rays, Bridgestone Potenza tires, front and rear spoilers, larger brakes, SynchroRev Match tranny (manual only), and viscous LSD.

NOV 24, 2008 -- Nissan pulls out of Detroit, Chicago auto shows. The economy is forcing Nissan to forgo the popular Detroit and Chicago auto shows in 2009. Having introduced the 370Z, Cube, and the convertible Infiniti G37 in LA, the car company is joining Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Land Rover, Rolls-Royce, and Ferrari as no-shows.
OCT 6, 2008 -- Historic Fall 2008 cover: final version Nissan Sport received over 1,000 entries for our historic Fall 2008 cover, which will celebrate 50 years of Nissan in the US. So many that we decided to open up the back cover as well, giving us nearly 500 cover slots. FEB 08, 2008 -- Magazine Download: Winter 2007 (#2). The Winter 2007 (#2) issue of Nissan Sport sold out in weeks. Nissan Sport has since grown 16 more pages, added 7 more project vehicles (240SX, Titan, Z32, 350Z Street, Xterra Off-Road, Z31, Frontier), expanded motorsports coverage (Notorious Turns takes you through the hardest turns on America's tracks), improved web coverage (Sarah's Web Watch), and added First Takes, a section decicated to new Nissan and Infiniti releases (production and concept).
